Ergonomics
How should you proceed ?
You should try to personalize your client's equipment. To do this you will need to look for all the elements that can be improved in your daily life. This ranges from the positioning and dimensions of objects to insufficient lighting or even uncomfortable and poorly equipped work locations. You must analyze each situation to provide advice and, if necessary, material assistance.
The tools
The tools at your disposal are::
- Occasional intensive lighting,
- Desks to facilitate reading. In addition, they will avoid having to bend over a sheet or a book and hurt their neck.
Why ?
The places your customers encounter are not necessarily adapted to the efforts that a visually impaired person must make. Often, the lighting is not sufficient, or the reading position is uncomfortable. This tires the visually impaired and prevents them from working longer.
It is therefore necessary to provide them with the best solutions and advice on the attitudes to adopt to continue prolonged work.
What do we mean by ergonomics?
Having an ergonomic approach consists of ensuring that in all situations, your client can work as easily as possible without fatigue. Your equipment advice should therefore not only be limited to optical systems. Indeed, sometimes with other tools, we can obtain much better results in terms of vision and comfort.
